For those interested in food and drink Amsterdam is unlikely to disappoint. The city boasts a huge variety of cuisine with influences from all over the world. There are also a number of food markets which are fabulous for strolling through on a sunny morning. Although they have little tolerance for those who have had too much, the trendy bars and relatively cheap prices make drinking in Amsterdam a great way to relax on holiday. The city has numerous nightclubs for those looking to drink late into the night as well as boasting classy wine bars for tourist hoping for a more chilled out trip. Holidaymakers who want to takes some more traditional food and drink in Amsterdam will also have plenty of outlets to choose from. The majority of Amsterdam restaurants are open for business early in the morning and breakfast is served in many hotels and other food outlets until 10am. The Dutch tend to eat lunch between 12pm and 2pm and dinner from 5pm to 8pm but be aware that most restaurants tend to close at around 10pm.
