Hen Destination in Athens, Greece

Athens is probably not the best choice for a hen weekend, but if you like Greek food and wine and fancy somewhere a bit different, a hen weekend in Athens may be an attractive option. Cheap flights to Athens may be more difficult to find than to more established hen destinations like Prague or Dublin, and some may be put off by the relatively high cost of alcohol in bars in central Athens, and the price of accommodation, especially if they are travelling from outside the Eurozone. It is also worth remembering that if you decide to have your hen party in Athens, that it is a more socially conservative city than some of the more popular hen destinations, and public drunkenness or rowdiness, particularly involving women, is frowned upon. There are plenty of clubs and bars and it’s a great place for a party at any time of year, but summer is best, when you can also take a trip down the coast to Glyfada, with its beaches, discos and watersports.
