Stag Destination in Athens, Greece

Athens is not a popular destination for stag parties, but it does offer great nightlife, with numerous trendy nightclubs, discos and music bars all over the city. Beer tends to be relatively expensive here – think 5 Euros a glass in nightclubs - but there are lots of tavernas and ouzeris where you can enjoy great food with inexpensive ouzo and wine, all accompanied by live music. Do note, though, that public drunkenness is socially unacceptable, and the local police take a dim view of rowdy behaviour. There are a number of agencies organising stag weekends in Greece – the island of Aegina, not far off the coast from Athens, may be a better bet than the city itself, but if you want to celebrate your stag party in Athens, it can be an atmospheric choice, and with the seaside resort of Glyfada a short bus ride down the coast, you have activities such as scuba diving, golf and wind surfing on hand too.
