If you are a real thrill seeker, and the white water rafting, paragliding and black ski runs have not satiated your need for speed, there are also some great opportunities to bungee jump in Austria. The Donauturm in Vienna declares itself to be the country’s tallest building and challenges you to take the 152 metre bungee plunge. The view from the top is *apparently* tremendous, with a horizon that stretches over 80 km – we took their word for this! Get a DVD of your jump for a little extra cost, and they’ll also give you a proof of jump certificate.

If you find you are staying in the Innsbruck region, head for the Europabrucke bridge for your bungee jumping needs. This used to be the highest bridge in Europe and gives you an impressive view of the surrounding countryside. The Benni-Raich bridge in Arzl, also in the Tyrol region, offers another popular bungee jump.
