A surfing holiday in the Azores offers some serious surfing for experienced surfers in search of powerful and consistent waves. This is not somewhere a beginner should learn how to surf as the large waves, reef breaks and rocks can be quite dangerous. Many spots are also difficult to get to, which means you will most likely be the only ones there! In fact, there are no crowded surfing beaches in the Azores and the islands as a whole are not busy places. The main surf holiday spots in the Azores are Ribeira Grande and Rabo de Peixe, both on São Miguel.
