Food Guide - Dining Out in Bali, Indonesia

Dining out in Bali is generally very cheap, and due to the cosmopolitan environment, and Bali being an international tourist destination, there is a large range of cuisine on offer with both International and Balinese food available. Most restaurants in Bali are open until 10:00 or 11:00pm, and a few eateries in tourist areas keep their kitchens open until 12:00 or even 1:00am. Visitors are able to sample sushi or sashimi at the 'ryoshi' dining venues until midnight, and many 'padang' restaurants in Kuta and Sanur serve food 24 hours a day.

For those who are feeling less adventurous, Kuta is one of the safer options for tourists, with plenty of fast food outlets and European, American and Australian eateries, in addition to the traditional Bali restaurants. Legian Beach on Jalan Kayu perhaps has the best dining in Kuta, with its five-star hotel restaurants.
