Scuba diving in Barcelona is a great way to discover what lies beneath the Mediterranean Sea. The city has its own scuba diving school, and those who are more experienced will usually have the opportunity to reach depths of between 30 to 40 metres (100 – 130 feet). The water is very temperate in the summer, and reaches around 18 degrees Centrigrade (65 degrees Fahrenheit). There is a choice of companies based around Barcelona and the Costa Brava that offer certification courses or day trips and equipment rentals.
