The nightlife in Beirut is one of the reasons why the city is so vibrant and alive. Its not called the "party capital of the Middle East" for no reason! The Lebanese love to dress up and party and you’ll find a dense concentration of nightspots, clubs, bars and restaurants in most districts of Beirut – particularly in Monot Street in Ashrafiyeh and Gemmayze. Make sure that you check local listings if you want to sample some of Beirut’s nightlife, as the scene changes regularly, but in general, clubs in Beirut open until dawn, and most will charge you an upfront “minimum consumption fee” on the door.
