Spectator Sports in Beirut, Lebanon

Spectator sports are popular in Beirut. Both football and basketball are well supported spectator sports, and there are local teams at Beirut’s Le Sagesse Club. Horse racing is also a popular spectator sport in Beirut: horse races are held at Beirut’s Hippodrome every Sunday afternoon, other than in July and August when races are held on Saturdays.
