Shopping in Brisbane, Australia

Due to Brisbane’s stunning location and weather, shopping is perhaps not its biggest attraction but there are nevertheless some small clusters of excellent stores and commercial districts to tempt those considering a shopping holiday in Brisbane. The main area for shopping in the city centre is around areas such as Queen St Mall, Myer Centre and Albert St. Each feature a good selection of popular high street retailers as well as speciality shops selling designer clothing, designer watches, arts, jewellery and everything a shopping holidaymaker could want besides. For vintage finds and alternative style, head to the multitude of boutique and unique shops around Elizabeth Arcade. Meanwhile, an hour's drive south of Brisbane is the Gold Coast, which a large range of chic outlets. While not having quite the shopping holiday lure of some of the world’s other major cities, Brisbane is still a great place to shop in the sun.
