Fishing in British Columbia, Canada
Rating (10/10)
Fishing in British Columbia is a great way to enjoy the great outdoors. Even in the confines of the cities there are opportunities to fish a number of species including the Chinook Salmon, BC’s trophy fish. With more than 20 000 km of coastline, 25 000 lakes and tens of thousands of km of rivers and streams BC is the quintessential fishing province. Anglers can fish for white sturgeon, steelhead, char, rainbow trout, whitefish, pike, char and bass just to name a few. The Fraser River is always a winning spot as is Northern BC with noted areas such as the Skeena River System, Prince Rupert and Queen Charlotte Islands. If its lake fishing you are after the Okanagan is a must. There is excellent fishing found in Kamloops. For urban anglers Vancouver Island and Victoria provide the perfect city-fishing setting. Note that fishing licenses are required in British Columbia.
