There is an extensive choice of delicious international cuisine in the British Virgin Islands and there are many beach bars and quality restaurants to choose from. The local delicacy is fish and sumptuous tropical fruit. Lobster is particularly popular and due to its availability is much cheaper than UK restaurants. Eating out in the BVI however can be quite expensive although the experience is well worth the money. Don't be put off by the beach floors and loose chickens clucking in the forecourts as the food served is generally of good quality.
