Golf is fairly new to Cambodia though pioneering golfers are finding it a fascinating country to play a few rounds. There are currently only four courses in Cambodia at the time of writing, though there are plans to double this number by the year 2011. One of the most fascinating courses is in Angkor near the ancients ruins of Angkor Wat, whereas the Phokeethra Country Club put Cambodia on the golfing map when it hosted the PGA Championships. Though there may not be many options to play golf in Cambodia, the courses they do have are challenging, set in exotic locations and are flood lit so you can play after dark.
