Surfing in Cambodia

The calm waters in the Gulf of Thailand are not considered among the best places in the world for surfing and there is not much scope for surfers to ride the waves during their visit to Cambodia. The swells are not too strong but are powerful enough to surf for short intervals so is better suited for somebody learning to surf that a serious and experienced surfer. Tourism is still in its infancy in Cambodia and surfing is not high on the countries agenda, thus their are no outlets to hire surfing equipment so if you are hoping to ride the waves you will need your own equipment.
