Sightseeing in Canary Islands, Spain

There are so many sights to see in the Canary Islands that you will never get through all of them, but it is a good idea to research before you go away in order to decide where you would like to see the most. Some recommendations include Plaza Charco in Puerto de la Cruz, which is a a beautiful plaza lined with restaurants and cafes, and Rambla Del General Franco in Santa Cruz, Tenerife, a scenic and historic walking area. Also in Tenerife is Piramides de Guimar - discovered in 1991, these step pyramids are similar to those found in Peru, Mexico and ancient Mesopotamia. Mount Teide in Tenerife is also a must-see if you are staying near to the vicinity - you can choose to either climb part of the way up the volcano or to go by cable car. However you get there, you will undoubtedly love the view of the entire island.
