Although there is an active bar and club scene, nightlife is not one of the fortes of Casablanca, but is enough for those who wish to venture out at night to mix with the locals, especially if travelling alone. The Aïn-Diab coast, the seaside annex of the city, is the one of the more popular areas where locals head out for the evening in Casablanca, especially at weekends. Trendy restaurants and popular pubs abound along the seafront. The most famous bars and nightclubs of Casablanca are Rick's Café, Mystic Garden, Le Petit Rocher, and La Bodega, and there is music to suit most tastes ranging from techno to the latest North African tunes. It is worth taking into consideration when heading out at night is that bars close fairly early, but nightclubs open at around 23:00 and do not close until 03:00.
