The Colombian Festival of Folklore

The Colombian Festival of Folklore is held in Ibague in the last week of June. Traditional Colombian music like the bunde, bambuco and pasillo are displayed, with musicians from all over Colombia participating in the festival.

The ‘Feria De Manizales’ or the Manizales Fair is the country’s second biggest cultural event that attracts musicians and artisans from all over South America. The festival, held in the second week of January, is very popular with Colombians. The Manizales Jazz Festival and the International Theatre Festival is held in September. The Cristobel Colon Theatre in Bogota holds theatre festivals throughout the year.
