Cycling in Colombia is an interesting way to move around, though not very safe. Try and avoid the main roads as the driving in Colombia can be a little crazy. Some tour companies offer cycling tours across the country, the most challenging being the ‘Tour of Colombia’ which is a 15 day tour of rigorous cycling across sometimes difficult terrain and in extreme conditions. Every Sunday the areas around Bogotá, Medellin and Cali are filled with cyclists taking off to the hills.
