There are a number of sites for snorkeling in Colombia. The two most recommended sites the Rosario Islands off of Cartagena and Tayrona Park near Santa Marta. Both are conveniently located and offer easy day trips to enjoy the sites. On the mainland of Colombia, Santa Marta and Taganga are popular for their snorkeling as well. Taganga has become a hot spot in which to explore these nether regions. Presently, about a half-dozen diving and snorkeling equipment shops operate out of this small village. Snorkeling in Colombia also takes place off the islands of San Andrés and Providencia. At San Andrés, don't miss La Piscinita, a natural cove where thousands of fish swarm and eat bread straight from the hands of swimmers.
