Camping in Copenhagen, Denmark

Campsites in Copenhagen are located outside the city centre and are only open seasonally from March - mid-October. Absalon Camping, however, is one exception and is conveniently open year round. Located 500 meters from the Brøndbyøster Station the journey takes approximately 15 minutes to Copenhagen’s Central Station. You can also take the 550S bus. Most campsites have reliable and frequent public transport (both train and bus) that takes visitors into Central Station.

Campsites make a good base to explore Copenhagen while avoiding the crowds and are a cheaper option than hotels. Tents, camping trailers and caravans are welcome at most sites. There are separate showers and toilets, washing machines/dryers and collection facilities available.

Some campsites accept tents only. Ideal for families, and couples interested in outdoor activities such as golfing, biking, fishing and swimming.
