Sightseeing in Copenhagen, Denmark

Copenhagen spoils travellers for choices when it comes to site seeing. The harbour with its Little Mermaid Statue is probably the most famous sightseeing attraction in all of Copenhagen, followed by Tivoli and the Royal Palaces. Ride the top of an open double-decker bus and hop and off wherever you like. At 3 pm take a tour to Christiania Copenhagen’s hippy hangout. Tours run on Saturdays and Sundays with information provided in Danish, English and German. City Hall Tours are also a great way to spend an hour or two and take place at 3 pm Mon-Friday. Boat tours are also very popular and explore the old canals for about 50 minutes. As you might imagine there are also cycling tours called city safari’s which give you the city’s highlights from the vantage point of a bicycle. For something a little different you can take a kayak sightseeing tour guided by professional instructors or a hop-on-hop-off water bus which sails between the coasts of Sealand and Amager.
