The Jalon Valley in the north of the region, features lemon and olive trees, lush vegetation, fantastic vineyards and breathtaking scenery. With numerous wineries, the Jalon Valley is an ideal choice for a wine tasting holiday on the Costa Blanca, and there are numerous bodegas (wine cellars) in the picturesque village of Jalon itself, where visitors can sample the various types before buying. For those staying in Alicante, vineyard tours are less frequent, but Salvador Poveda and Bodegas Bocopa are two venues which do offer wine tasting sessions for holidaymakers. Expect to pay around €10 per person for a three course meal with wine in the Jalon Valley.
