Crete is better known for its spectacular scenery, beautiful beaches and clear blue seas, but in some resorts there is a vibrant nightlife ideal for singles and couples to go clubbing and party. Malia in particular is lively and where most young people spend their holidays. The nightlife in Crete is vibrant with bars staying open til 2am and nightclubs open til 5 or 6am. In the height of summer some clubs in Crete don't close until 8am making partying in Crete an all night affair. Other than petty theft there is little crime on the island so if you are travelling alone holidaying in Crete will feel perfectly safe for walking around during the day and at night and with so many other single people on the island you don't have to be alone for long.
