Crime in Cyprus
Cyprus is a relatively safe place to live and crime figures are very low. Despite its history of violence the division of the country reduced crime and Cyprus has one of the best records in Europe.
You should always take care to make the usual precautions but the environment is friendly and welcoming and walking at night is generally safe.
