Day 1: Start your Middle-Eastern adventure by experiencing the magic of the Desert. Get into one of those SUVs and let a desert expert show you what dune bashing is all about. Drive towards an ancient fortress in Hatta, along scenic roads, past clear mountain pools, through a lush Wadi until you reach the warm hospitality of a centuries-old Bedouin Village. A sumptuous dinner at sunset is the perfect conclusion.
Day 2: Drive through a landscape characterized by superb infrastructure such as the Burj Al Arab, the only 7-star hotel in the world. Stroll through the narrow lanes of Bastakia, cross the threshold of Al Fahidi Fort, and cross over the Creek in an Abrah, a water taxi, to breathe in the colours, scents, and the splendour of the Spice Souk and Gold Souk. Under a starry and moonlit sky, enjoy a romantic dinner aboard a traditional Arabic Dhow gliding silently along the Creek of Dubai.
Day 3: Kickstart your day with a traditional Emirati Cultural Breakfast at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding in the Bastakiya area where staff give a fascinating introduction to Dubai, Arab culture and Islam over cardamom coffee. Escape the heat with an entertaining dose of history at air-conditioned Dubai Museum around the corner in Al Fahidi Fort. Dubai's oldest building, the fort was built in 1787, however, the area was settled in the Bronze Age; note the fine alabaster objects inside dating to 3000BC. Rejuvenate in the shade of your hotel pool then head out around 5pm to hit the souks. Gawk at the gold at Deira Gold Souk then get lost in the covered laneways on your way to the Spice Souk. Catch an abra (open-sided wooden taxi boat) across the Creek to Bur Dubai Textile Souk then stroll along the water to Shindagha, site of Dubai's first settlement, at the Creek's mouth.
Day 4: Gape at the phenomenal sights, including the world’s tallest building before catching your flight back home.
