Dubai has a wide range of hotels from opulent and very expensive to basic and cheap. Most of the major chains and franchises operate here and are located in many areas of Dubai . The beach front hotels are very popular tourist destinations and therefore tend to be pricey, especially in the cool, winter months. There are many good quality hotels along the Sheikh Zayed Road going into the city, mainly for the business traveler as this is the hub of finance, business and exhibitions. Hotels along the Creek are also popular as they have a commanding view of the Creek, the Creek Park with a cable car operating in winter only and are close to the Dubai Creek Golf Course and marina. Hotels very close to the International Airport central city convenience but with the problems of commuting. The Hyatt Regency on the Corniche was one of the first major hotels to be built in Dubai. It has a splendid sea view and a large ice rink but is a little remote from the city. All hotels have very good facilities such as pools, bars, restaurants, gymnasium, children’s play areas and some have cinemas and night clubs. Children and disabled persons are well catered for in all hotels.
