Though by no means a large city, Faro is a good option for a city break if you want year round sun and a proximity to nature and beaches. Faro has some of the liveliest nightlife in the Algarve and plenty of amenities and shopping that may be harder to come by in more remote parts of the region. As a city break, Faro is affordable and offers decent dining and sight seeing activities, especially for those inter-ested in history and nature.
