Faro and the rest of the Algarve is served by Faro Airport (FAO) or Aeroporto Internacional de Faro, which is located 7 km to the west of the city of Faro. Faro/Algarve Airport is a modern facility serving mostly tourists, but also business passengers.
Getting to and from the Airport in Faro

Drivers License Requirements in Faro

Hitch Hiking in Faro
Hitchhiking in Faro is not unusual for foreigners and don’t be surprised if you are picked up by someone from Germany or the UK. As a general rule, no female drivers will pick up male passengers.
