When to go to Florida

When to go to Florida, USA

The thermostat in Florida generally has two settings - warm and hot! Florida’s weather year round is sultry allowing for vacations at anytime. The traditional HIGH SEASON is January through March as the weather hovers around 80F or 27C and the rainfall and humidity is low. The LOW SEASON from June to August is usually quite hot with a high humidity index which can be unbearable outdoor for many young children and senior citizens. This cycle results in hot early mornings and rain in the afternoon as the heat index rises – so if you are working on your tan, then rise early to take advantage of the sun. The downside is that Florida is sometimes prone to bouts of temperament from Mother Nature in the form of hurricanes, floods, tornadoes and fires. Hurricane season runs from June to November, and, as seen in 2005, the most active hurricane season on record, and in 2007, the quietest, you never know what can happen. Pay close attention to weather forecasts during this season and always be prepared.
