Hiking Activity Holiday in Frankfurt, Germany

Hiking and walking is one of the best ways to see Frankfurt and the city boasts some excellent hiking and walking trails. When in Frankfurt's city centre the best and most efficient way to see things is to bring a street map or simply wander the charming streets and promenades. Much of Frankfurt features walking trails, which vary greatly in both length and scenery but one of the most popular walks is along the Main River. The city is chalk full of green spaces including forest, meadow lands, fields and park grounds which are ideal for walking. There are 50 parks in Frankfurt's massive green belt. Hiking is done in the nearby popular Taunus Mountains. With plenty of hiking trails, one option is to take the S train from Main Station to Friedrichsdorf; remember to bring plenty of water.
