If you are looking for a cycling holiday, Geneva is a fantastic place to start. The main cycle routes take you along the lakefront but can go on for miles. Bike hire is free of charge, (with the exception of a small deposit) from May to October to encourage a green way of getting around the city. If you are looking for a more extreme or adventurous cycling holiday, take a trip out of Geneva to the nearby Jura Mountains or the French Alps. Many of the winter ski resorts turn into mountain biking and cycling resorts from May to October with a wide range of trails suitable for all abilities.
