When to go to Granada, Spain

Granada is a great destination any time of the year. Winter in Granada can be chilly, but with the colder weather comes the opportunity of skiing in the nearby Sierra Nevada mountain range. While Andalucia’s inland cities (Seville and Cordova) become almost unbearably hot during the peak summer months, summer in Granada is often slightly cooler making it a good time to visit. If you don’t like the heat (or crowds), consider visiting Granada during spring or autumn. The city can also be noticeably quieter (particularly in the bars) when the students have left town for their holidays.
