Windsurfing is a very popular Greek water sport and the Windsurfing World Championships is held every summer at the New Golden Beach on the island of Paros in the Cyclades, and attracts competitors from all over. The A1 Ethniki is the biggest water polo championship among clubs across Greece.
The Greek Water Skiing Federation in Athens holds national and international water skiing competitions including the Pan European Games and the Senior World Championships.
The most-used locations for water-skiing competitions are the coastal areas of Varkiza and Vouliagmeni in Attica, Ververonta in Porto Heli, Halkida in Evia, Volos, as well as the lakes of Volvi in Halkidiki and Kaiafas in the Peloponnese.
