Surfing in Guam

Surfing in Guam will challenge even the most experienced surfers. With numerous surf spots around the island, there are plenty of opportunities to get amongst the swell, year round. There are several surf spots on the public beaches of Guam, though some of the best spots require something of a hike off the main drag and out into the wild to get to. As a result it is advisable for tourists to Guam to seek the knowledge and advice of the locals, and also to surf in pairs when in the more remote parts of the island. Unfortunately, there is little in the way of amateur surfing around Guam. The rips are fairly fierce around the island and there are few beginner spots for the learner, so surfing in Guam is probably best left to the pros.
