Whilst the beaches are not know for their swell, it is possible to go surfing in Havana. One or two of the local beaches hire out surfboards, and if you are lucky it is possible to catch a few waves. That said, Cuba is not a prime surfing location, and is much more suitable to youngsters and beginners rather than pros.
