Beach in Hong Kong

Hong Kong has some excellent beaches, many with have facilities for swimmers, including changing rooms, showers, and lifeguards. The best beaches in Hong Kong are found on the islands such as Cheung Chau (Tung Wan and Kwun Yam Wan) which is reachable by ferry from Central, Hong Kong Island. Cheung Sha in Lantau is also a good area for beaches, and you will find open air restaurants here. On Hong Kong Island Repulse Bay is one of the most popular beach areas in Hong Kong. Shek O on the east coast is a good rural beach and reachable by bus. In the New Territories decent beaches to try are the Clearwater Bay beaches. The worst of Hong Kong's beaches in terms of water quality are found along the west coast of Kowloon.
