Biking in Hong Kong is not popular but is best done in the New Territories or on one of the flatter islands or islands where traffic is less crowded. There are many places to rent bikes in Hong Kong, such as in Tai Wai in the New Territories, and on Cheung Chau and Lantau islands as well as including major transport hubs, some hotels and downtown spaces. Rates are an unbelievably low €3 – 5 but deposits are required. Cycling in Hong Kong's city centre itself is best avoided and not that enjoyable.
