City Breaks in Ibiza, Spain

Being such a small island, Ibiza is made up of little towns and Ibiza Old Town is what is classed as its main city, although the size of a town in reality, and it is most certainly a place in which to enjoy a short break in the Balearics. Weekend breaks in Ibiza are becoming more popular because there is so much to see and do in such close proximity and are particularly popular with those wanting to get off their flight and head straight to the thronging streets of San Antonio, where they can dance until dawn.

Instead of losing precious sunlight hours by clubbing all night and resting into the afternoon, people often make their way to the day club Space instead, which is particularly popular on Sundays. Located in Platja d'en Bossa, the venue opens at dawn and has a beautiful open-air terrace. If San Antonio is too hedonistic for your tastes do ensure that you book accommodation on the south-east of the island, nearer to the airport, to save on transfer time, so that you can make the most of your short break to Ibiza. If staying in nearby Ibiza Town, you can go to the local beaches during the day, wander around the sophisticated Marina Botafoch in the early evening, dine outside one of the many harbourside restaurants, and then party at Pacha or El Divino if the mood takes you later on.

One weekend break in Ibiza may not be enough to get a real overview of such a vibrant place, but it will certainly give you plenty of opportunity to soak up the bohemian atmosphere.
