Useful Information

- Watch your bags when in clubs, bars and on the beach. Don’t leave them unattended.
- When in Ibiza Town and other more historic parts of the island wear flat shoes, as the streets can be cobbled or very uneven and you don’t want to go flying! Esperadilles are what most people wear.
- Bus is the cheapest and easiest way to travel, as is water taxi.
- Food in cafes and restaurants is fairly cheap, but keep an eye on your spending money when buying in supermarkets as prices can be high.
- Basic accommodation is very well priced but don’t expect plush surroundings because basic means exactly that – basic.
- Watch out for the club touts – they can be very persuasive…
- Keep that sunblock on you at all times; temperatures soar in the summer and if you are reclining on a bar terrace with friends it is easy to forget where you are and get burnt. Try not to fall asleep on the beach – for the same reason.
- Instead of paying out for umbrellas and sunloungers why not spend about 4 euros on a lilo? You can keep using it each day for lying on the sand and in the pool or sea. If you have to, you can even sleep on it!
