La Folle Journee

The Folle Journee was originally the concept of artistic director Rene Martin. From the first one shows in Nantes, France in 1995, the festival has grown into an international success with festivals organised in Spain, Japan and Brazil. The Japanese La Folle Journee in Tokyo is now become the largest event in the world of this kind with audiences topping 1 million in 2008. Tickets are fairly cheap costing between ¥1,500 and ¥3,000 with concerts usually lasting around 45 minutes.
