When to go to Japan

Japan has five seasons – Spring, the Rainy season, Summer, Autumn and winter. The best time to visit Japan is in the spring (April – May) or in the autumn (October – November). The weather during these times is mildest. The summer months can be quite humid and the winters rather harsh. During April and May the cherry blossoms bloom and there are many parties throughout the country. Many Japanese take time off to enjoy the sights during Golden Week (29th April - 5th May). During this time and over the new year period it is advised to book early as many flights and hotel quickly get sold out.
