Papagayo has a campground capacity of around 2,000 people, with half of the campsite catering for tents and the rest for caravans, which are quite comfortable and near to the beach. Camping season is from June to September in all the camp sites in Lanzarote and it is popular with groups of people wanting to get away on a cheaper break. San Juan camping is located in Famara and has a campground capacity of 100 people and El Salao site is set in La Graciosa islet and can house up to 500 people. Wherever you decide to stay on the island, all the campsites on Lanzarote are not far from all the amenities of town.
