Peak travel times to Las Vegas are during the spring and fall when the desert weather is at its most pleasant for sightseeing. During those months, Las Vegas can be quite expensive as it is a very popular destination for both holidays and business events. Most travellers do not brave the intense heat of late July and August when the desert sizzles but also when the best hotel deals are offered. You can take advantage of the summer deals by hitting the pools and sun straight on or lying low until after dark when it’s the nightlife that heats up the desert. Less conventions and business travel during the summer months means less competition for room rates as well.
Travel during December can be advantageous just prior to the Christmas holiday when Las Vegas is not on the minds of travellers spending time with their families. However, with the cheaper room rates come black-out dates for shows on holiday as well – a good point to keep in mind if seeing shows is a priority for you.
