Discover one of London's great traditions, its Cockney Pearly Kings and Queens! Every year in October, they gather for their annual Harvest Festival Service at the Church. You will marvel at their extravagant costumes and witty banter. The Pearly Kings and Queens tradition originated in 19th century London and grew out of working class people's wish to provide charitable help to those even worse off than themselves. They are more than happy for you to photograph them in their regalia, but they might just ask you for a charitable donation!
