London offers limited opportunities for camping holidays. There are several recognised camping sites, but these tend to be in the more rural outlying districts of London, such as Abbey Wood, Loughton and Chingford. Of course, such camp-sites can offer the best of both worlds in that your accommodation is in a rural setting, but you are within reasonable reach of the sights and attractions of central London as well.

What is more, camping can be an inexpensive option, with prices per adult per night starting at just over £7. If you do decide on a camping holiday in London, always choose a recognised camp site and never decide just to pitch your tent in one of the parks, as this is very risky.
