Gay and Lesbian in London, United Kingdom

Over the past few years, London's gay scene has grown to the extent that it now rivals Amsterdam as Europe's gay capital. You will not be short of things to see and do in London as the city has a myriad of bars, clubs, pubs and events for the gay, lesbian, or bisexual traveller. There is the London Gay Pride Festival lasts for two weeks in July and covers a wide range of different events including cinema, theatre, sports, cabaret and galas.

The fortnight culminates in the Pride London Parade, which takes place on he last Saturday of the Festival. However, you will find plenty of attractions at other times of the year as well, including the London Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, which will take place in March 2010, and some of the best clubs you will find anywhere in the world. Apart from all this, there are numerous gay and lesbian friendly shops, bookshops, restaurants, hotels, gyms and spas. If the gay and lesbian scene is what you are after, then the areas to visit are Soho, which has become very popular in recent years, and Earls Court.
