Asilah Arts Festival

Established in 1978, this annual cultural extravaganza involves both visual and performing artists from all over the world. Asilah is a wonderful show-piece for journalists, writers, painters, musicians and dancers in an environment that is all about colour, exuberance and dynamism. Not to be missed is painting of a mural on one of the walls of Asilah's Medina by all of the artists who are exhibiting at the Festival, which can be on any subject of their choosing. This is one of Morocco's most important arts festivals, but it is also a forum for artists from all over the world to express their ideas and concepts together.
