International Film Festival

Usually held in September, Marrakesh's International Film Festival has moved to December in 2009 over four days. This prestigious Festival rivals the Cannes Film Festival in terms of showing the very best from the world of cinematography. Established in 2001, it has now become Morocco’s largest annual film event, which is increasingly being recognised as an art form in Morocco. Last year, the Festival attracted over participants from over 24 countries and showed over 120 films. The Festival's jury is a prestigious gathering of film directors, producers, actors, distributors, journalists and personalities from all over the world. Visitors will see the very best Moroccan and foreign productions, including both feature films and short films.
