When to Book
Prague experiences tourist traffic all year long so it’s best to secure your flight and hotel bookings a good 1-2 month prior to your departure. If you intend to enjoy Prague during the peak seasons, we would recommend you make all reservations at least 3 months in advance. Booking that early affords you a wide variety of options and the most competitive rates.
A lot of activities such as river cruises, concert tickets etc. can be booked online and paid for through a credit card. You will need to make these at least 15-20 days in advance to avoid disappointment.
Most hotels have the option of booking online especially the grander ones. But for modest, budget accommodations such as hostels, B&B etc., reservations will normally be made on a first come-first serve basis unless you have a phone number that you can contact and agree upon how best to guarantee your reservation. Luckily, there isn’t a dearth of hostels or other budget accommodations outside the city centre.
