Beirut Horse Riding

Although there are no places to go horse riding in Beirut itself, you’ll find plenty of opportunities for horse riding in greater Lebanon. Lebanon has a number of riding schools, for example the Kattouah Marguerite School which has locations in Awkar, Bteghrine and Haddad, where you can go horse riding for around €15 a session. Horse riding is becoming increasingly popular, and Lebanon’s Equestrian Federation now includes six riding clubs with excellent Arab horses available.

If you are just visiting Beirut however, you can always get along to watch some exciting horse races at the Beirut Hippodrome. These fun horse races are held every Sunday in Beirut, and are thronged with an excitable betting crowd. Entrance is free, but you’ll need to bring along your passport for ID.
